This may come as a surprise, but families all over America struggle
with the same frustration you feel when planning your vacation. You want
it to be memorable; you want the entire family to have the time of
their lives; you want to actually go somewhere really great this time;
and the kicker—you don’t want to spend half of your salary doing it.

It’s not like that question has gotten easier in a tough economy. By
the time you book transportation and lodging for the entire family, your
vacation budget can hardly cover food or anything fun to do. Cruises
aren’t known for being cheap; resorts cost an arm and a leg. What are
your options?

What if you could drive to your destination with plenty of space
instead of being crammed into a minivan? And what if you didn’t even
need lodging when you got there? What if you had your own motor home?

Before you scratch that idea because motor homes are absurdly
expensive, there’s something you don’t know. You can rent an RV and it’s
yours for however long you need it! In fact, do you realize that in
most cases, renting a motor home will be cheaper than making the
trip in a car and staying at hotels?

Here’s why: If you drive your own car, you have to pay gas anyway,
not to mention the wear and tear and everything else involved with
keeping a car going. When you arrive, you have to find a hotel with
openings for a good price and good quality. And you still have to find
good local restaurants with workable food, service and prices. All of
that just means lots of money and lots of inconvenience.

By comparison, imagine driving to your favorite vacation spot in a
motor home with plenty of space for everyone. When you arrive, you set
up camp and lodging is immediately taken care of. Everything you brought
from home is already in place and accessible. That means more family
time, and money savings you can use in other ways. Meals are as simple
as walking to the built-in kitchen and having things just the way you
want them. You finish your vacation with great memories and even better
savings.

And here’s the best part. When you come back home, the motor home
isn’t your problem. No storage; no monthly payments; no maintenance. You
return it to the rental company and they take care of it all.

Too many Americans will miss an opportunity this summer because they
don’t realize that they could rent a motor home. There’s no reason to
choose between a great vacation and low cost. You can have both along
with a load of convenience. Rental motor homes are the way to make your entire vacation work out just
the way you want it.

When people think about renting an RV they often think of traveling to a far-off location to explore parts of the country they have never seen before. Although that is the main reason people rent RVs, there are a lot of reasons people don't often think of.

--If you're having family in town, why not rent an RV for sleeping arrangements. It often works out to be much cheaper than a hotel, and it's much more convenient to have your family stay right at your house rather than miles away. If you have family coming to town give us a call and ask about our no-mileage discounts!

--Is your house under construction or damaged in a way that makes it temporarily non-livable? Rent a RV and stay in your own driveway until you're ready to move back in! It's often cheaper than a hotel and you can stay on your property to protect it and watch over the construction. Give us a call and ask about our no-mileage discounts!

--Are your kids heading to prom? Limos are expensive, especially around prom time (not coincidentally). Try taking an RV to prom instead! It's cheaper than a limo, and it's sure to make all your friends jealous. We have had many rentals for this very reason and people always come back telling us how they were the talk of the school and everyone wished that had thought of renting a RV instead of a limo. For the parents it's a great way to watch over your kids and their friends after the prom as you drop them off safely back at their own homes.

--Disasters which damage your home cause a lot of pain and anguish. Many people find it comforting to stay in their own driveway while they recover and while their homes are being repaired. We offer long-term rentals to those who may not be able to stay in their own home for an extended amount of time. If your home insurance covers expenses of such disasters they will often pay for the RV Rental. We'd be happy to work with your insurance company and help in any way we can during such times.

--Want to travel around the country? There are so many sights to be seen around the United States and there is no better way to see them than in an RV. Try visiting all those places you often fly right over and you may just discover your new favorite vacation spot. We offer long-term rentals to those who want to travel for a month or more.

--Temporary offices are very expensive. Why not rent an RV for your temporary office needs? It's a great way to save money and RVs are much more luxurious inside than mobile offices. You also have the convenience of a full kitchen, restroom, and sleeping arrangements when you need them.

These are just a few ideas for alternative reasons to rent an RV. If you have a unique situation where renting an RV might be an alternative let us know! Your purpose may be eligible for great discounts on our standard rental rates and make your life much easier. We'd love to hear why you want to rent an RV so we can recommend it to others who are in the same situation.

With summer quickly approaching, many are just starting to plan their summer getaway. Of course the economy and job market have thrown a curve ball into many families usual plans. With penny pinching in mind, and an absolute refusal to compromise on the family fun, have you ever considered renting an RV? The closest you may have been to one is watching them thunder down the highway headed for all sorts of mysterious destinations. Or maybe you have friends that have them and hear them talk about their trips constantly. Regardless of your experience with RVs, renting an RV may very well be the best thing you ever did for your family.

Allow me to share what I remember about my childhood. My parents bought a camper, the type that rest on the back of a pickup truck. I remember taking trips up to the Angeles Crest Highway like it was yesterday. I am 32 years old now and must have been only 6 or 7 at the time. We'd sit around the campfire and listen to the stories only Uncles could tell. We had so much fun in that camper. Sure, it wasn't a modern Diesel Pusher or fancy 5th wheel, but that didn't matter. Those memories will never fade.

A few years went by and my parents upgraded to a Class A motorhome when I was about 10 years old. We felt like we went from a Motel 6 to a beachfront suite at The Four Seasons. Our trips got a little more extravagant too. I remember two trips that we took to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. 3 weeks of pure fun that I hope one day to experience again with my two girls.

I guess the point that I'm making is that I've been fortunate in life. I've flown all over the U.S. I've stayed at the best hotels. I've eaten at the best restaurants. I've been on lavish vacations that cost a bundle. But I can honestly tell you that none those even come close to the fun and memories created by RVing. I challenge you step beyond the airport or the cruise ship. Think beyond the same old thing. Rent an RV this summer, and change what a vacation means to your family.

Rent and RV from Fredson RV in Santa Ana. Please visit our website at www.fredsonrv.com to look at our fleet or contact our rental department at (714) 202-0013.

Welcome

Welcome to the all-new Fredson RV Blog! We decided to start a blog to share information about our company and what we have to offer our customers. Our blog will also provide a wealth of information about RVs for people who have never been in an RV as well as those who have been RVing all their lives. We invite you to check our blog often for tips, tutorials, general information, trip suggestions, and much more!

About Fredson RV

If you haven't had the chance to browse our website yet we'd like to share some information about who we are. Fredson RV is a family owned and operated business in the heart of Orange County located in Santa Ana California. Our location has been an RV dealership since the 1960's and has always upheld a record for a family environment with friendly and helpful staff.

Our Mission: At Fredson RV we do not rate our success by how much money we make; our number one concern is to treat our customers the way they want to be treated. We hear all-too-many horror stories of other dealers treating people poorly and robbing them blind as they do it. That is not the way a business ought to be run, especially in an industry that is meant to support families and friendship. We are blessed to be in the industry that we are, with so many friendly and life-loving customers who only ask for help to keep on doing what they love. We want you as a customer and a friend for life, and we are willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. If another dealer has put you in a position where you are scared to even ask for help, we encourage you to give us a call. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff would love to help you in any way we can.

What We Offer

Our services include parts, repair, retrofitting, rentals, and storage. Our technicians are some of the best in the industry that can do everything from small repairs to completely changing the look of your RV inside or out. The possibilities are really limitless. For example, we recently we turned a 40' diesel pusher into a mobile dentistry which was put to use by helping those that can't travel to or afford a normal dentist's rates.

We also provide RV rentals to families looking for a great way to spend their vacation. To those who have never been RVing, we can not stress enough how much fun it is to hit the road with your family and friends on a great adventure through our great country. Be warned, however, that once you give it a try it's hard to not do it again. Many families rent RVs for all of their vacations because of the great times they've shared and the memories they've made. If you don't own an RV, give us a call and book your next vacation. We promise it will be a great time to have fun, learn, and experience the smaller things in life that often escape your everyday routine.

For RV owners we offer a Consignment Rental Program. Basically you allow us to manage your RV and rent it out on your behalf. We take care of all of the hassle involved with renting your RV including insurance, renter screening, maintenance, repairs, collecting payments, booking rentals, and more. All you have to do is sit back and collect the profit your RV generates! Its a great way to make some money if your RV spends a lot of time in storage, and a great alternative to selling so you can still use your RV when you want to. Some owners find it possible to not only pay their payments but also take home some extra cash. If you own an RV that is 8 years old or newer we'd love for you to give us a call to get the details on this great program.

What to Expect from this Blog

Although this first post contains material already available on other portions of our site, we promise we have a lot more in store for you. Our goal in creating this blog is to provide information about RVs, the RVing lifestyle, tips and tricks, repair suggestions for common issues, destination suggestions, answers to frequently asked questions, and much much more. Please check back often or subscribe to the RSS feed to enjoy all of the information we have to offer.

Thank you for visiting our site, and we look forward to getting to know you soon. Remember, "Wherever the roads lead you, Fredson RV is here when you return".
